Volleyball Premier League commences

UDHAMPUR, Jan 18: J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Udhampur District Volleyball Association organized five days long Volleyball Premier League at Mini Stadium, here today.
In the first match of the league, Udhampur Volleyball Club defeated Malhar Volleyball Club by (3-1) (25-21), (16-25), (27-25) and (26-24) sets, whereas in second match, City Volleyball Club trounced Narsingh Volleyball Club by (03-0) (25-19), (25-17) & (26-12) and in third match, the Dhanori Volleyball Club got better of Chiryai Volleyball Club by (03-1), (25-17), (25-19), (13-25) & (25-22) sets.
Sanjeev Gandotra, CEO Municipality Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion. Roshan Gupta executive member Volleyball Association of J&K, Santosh Kumari ZPEO Udhampur, Poonam Sharma ZPEO Jib, Suresh Khajuria president Badminton Association Udhampur, Ravi Singh vice president Handball Association of J&K, Angrez Din, Ashok Kumar, Narjeev Singh, Sanjeev Verma, Anshu Brat Khanna and Mushtaq Ahmed were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Shaktish Chopra, Manager Subash Stadium Udhampur.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of officials Naveen Kumar Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Manik Nargotra and Dilshan Sharma.
