SRINAGAR, Nov 4: Vishwagram is set to host a two-day International conference on Peace, People and Possibilities in Kashmir on November 5 and 6, in a major effort to revive the spirit of Kashmiriyat and promote harmony, inclusiveness, and sustainable growth.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Prof. Geeta Singh, National President of Vishwagram and event patron, said the symposium will bring together policymakers, academics, and cultural leaders from across India and abroad. She said the symposium continues Vishwagram’s mission to promote peace and spiritual unity. “When pain struck Kashmir, we realised the youth needed hope, not fear. Through our campaign Chalo Kashmir, we urged them to see Kashmir beyond conflict,” she said.

She added that universities across Jammu and Kashmir have joined as knowledge partners, making the event both cultural and academic. “For centuries, this land has stood for peace, spirituality, and learning through Shaivism, Buddhism, and Sufism. We aim to reconnect with those roots and reawaken that message of love,” she said.
The inaugural session at SKICC will be attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, RSS leader Dr. Indresh Kumar, and Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma of the Integral Humanism Darshan Foundation. “Day one will explore Kashmir’s philosophical identity through its Sufi-Reshi tradition, followed by discussions on Bhartiya Gyan Parampara, social harmony, and cultural continuity. The evening will conclude with cultural performances highlighting the Valley’s artistic and musical heritage,” a spokesperson said.
On the second day, he added, sessions at the University of Kashmir will focus on youth development, peace and nation-building, and sustainable livelihoods under Atmanirbhar Bharat. “The valedictory session will feature leading academics, including vice chancellors from Kashmir University, IUST, SKUAST-K, Cluster University, and the Central University of Kashmir,” he said.
