POONCH, June 15: A 50 year old person was injured in a bear attack at Maharkote village of Mandi tehsil in Poonch district today.
Family members of the injured said that he was working in the field near the house when bear suddenly attacked and left him injured. He was taken to Sub District Hospital, Mandi for treatment.
The injured villager was identified as Mohd Rashid (50), son of Fakir Mohd, resident of Maharkote in Tehsil, Mandi.
Doctors said that after initial treatment here in SDH Mandi, the injured was shifted to District Hospital Poonch for advanced treatment.
