JAMMU, May 5: The newly crowned Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi.
The PM talked with the MLC about the development issues of Jammu region and expressed hope that the new MLC will take up issues of the people in the right perspective.
“I was asked by the Prime Minister to work with zeal and dedication to reach out to the people and help them solving their problems at the grass root levels. The Prime Minister while reposing faith on the State unit of BJP said that new faces coming up in the legislative governance would definitely give boost to the upliftment of the people while attending to their problems,” said Vikram Randhawa.
The PM said that new generation crop of politicians arising on the political horizons of BJP will take the party to newer heights with giving a fillip to the overall development of the nation.
Vikram also said that Prime Minister who at one time (few years ago) was prabahri of Jammu and Kashmir shared his old fond memories of Jammu with him and recalled the days when he was a worker of BJP.
“The inspiration drawn from, Prime Minister to have reached the most important position as Prime Minister of India and the global leader has infused in me a sense of realization that hard work and full dedication towards development of nation can raise any person to greater heights,” said Vikram.
