Vibodh takes stock of developmental activities

RAJOURI, Dec 14: Senior BJP leader and MLC, Vibodh  Gupta, along with officers of various departments and party workers, visited different areas of Rajouri town to take stock of developmental activities and works executed during 2017-18.
To get firsthand information regarding developmental projects, Gupta firstly visited the Old District Hospital Complex, where a GNM School is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.00 crore by J&K Police Housing Corporation. He was informed by the concerned that the building will be completed within 12 months and it will be handed over to Health and Medical Education Department later.
The MLC also inspected the ongoing work of bridge from Vedhant Asharam to MES Store Rajouri connecting Rajouri-Poonch Highway which will be constructed with  an estimated cost of  Rs 6.62 crore. Gupta asked the engineers of JKPCC, to expedite the work, so that the same could be completed in time bound manner.
The MLC also inspected number of works executed by Municipality, in Ward-No-05, 02 and 04, Out of construction works, six are being constructed under District Plan, six under IDMT etc will incur an estimated cost of 47.00 lakh. He  expressed satisfaction over the work.
Gupta listened grievances of people and in his address said that Coalition Government is committed for overall development of State. He said that during the first District Development Board meeting of the present Government, issue for upgradation of Municipal Committee to the level of Municipal Council was raised. Due to census figures, the same is still pending with the Government. He said that as and when the same will be done, people of Rajouri will get adequate funds for the development of Town. He said that up-gradation of 20 MVA to 50 MVA Transformer at Thudi has been laid at a cost of Rs. 5.00 crore, which shall reduce the curtailment in power supply especially in Rajouri town.
