JAMMU, Feb 11: National secretary, Vishaw Hindu Parishad, (VHP) Khem Chand has urged both State and Central Governments to turn tough towards terrorists and weed out terrorism from the soil of J&K completely.
Talking to reporters at the sidelines of a programme organized by VHP at Rama Event Barnai near here today, he said that the State Government should not work against the sentiments of Hindus as it will have serious consequences.
He said the Central Government should seriously work for abrogation of Article 370 which is the greatest impediment and cause of all crisis in the State. The Hindus in the State are totally dejected at present as they have been facing continuous discrimination for decades together which should now end.
The VHP leader said that steps on pattern of Punjab needed to be taken in the State to eliminate the terrorism. He expressed the hope that the Union Government will take steps towards this end and put a last nail in the coffin of Pak sponsored terrorism.
He appealed the people to remain united and fight against the forces inimical to national cause. He also expressed concern over forcible conversions and urged the Government that the same be stopped immediately.
Terming the VHP is the voice of Hindus, he said it has always stood with them and it will continue to do so.
Addressing the function earlier he said that no Government but the Hindus of this country will construct the Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Addressing the function VHP State president, Advocate Leela Karan Sharma said after engineering ethnic cleansing of Hindus from Kashmir the anti India forces are eyeing Jammu now. He termed the Sunjwan attack a handiwork of these elements as these forces consider Jammu a stumbling block in their way.
Sharma said that under a game plan the demography of Jammu is being changed by settling Rohingyas, Bangladeshis and people from other areas here. He asked the Jammuites not to sell their land to outsiders because this way they are axing their legs as this is the part of a plan to change the demography of this region too.
He also took serious exception to the pro Pak slogans raised by NC Legislator in Assembly and termed it a serious issue. He cautioned people against such leaders and parties and demanded that the NC MLA be terminated from Assembly.
He stressed on unity among Hindus by forgetting their differences on basis of caste, creed etc and said first of all we all are nationalists. He said India is strong when Hindu is strong and united.
The others who were present in the function included Suresh Chander Gupta working president State VHP, its vice presidents, Prabhu Dayal Gupta and Shakti Dutt Sharma, Karan Singh Charak, general secretary, BABAYatri Niyas, Naveen Sudan, Bajrang Dal State convener and Abhishekh Gupta State secretary VHP. The representatives of VHP and BD from different parts of Jammu region attended the programme.
