JAMMU, July 9: Police today busted a vehicle lifter gang active in Jagti township and arrested five minors belonging to the same area.
A police spokesman said that, three cases of vehicle stolen from Jagti township were reported with police station Nagrota and cases under FIR numbers 170/13, 217/13 and 219/13 under Section 379 RPC were registered subsequently.
During investigation five minor Kashmiri youths hailing from Jagti township were arrested along with three scooties bearing registration numbers JK02L-1105, JK02AM-9654 and JK02AR-2378.
Another scooty bearing registration number JK02AL-8791 was also recovered from their possession and was seized under Section 550 CrPC (property believed to be stolen), he added.
He added that these juvenile accused were preceded against Juvenile Justice Act.
