Veggie prices soaring

Sir,
In absence of proper supervision by any Government agency, the vegetable and fruit sellers are making huge profits as they sell these items at a high price. During Navratras, it is free for all. The soaring prices of vegetables and fruits have begun to pinch the common man. It has become a normal feature for the vendors to increase prices during festivals.
Sometime back CAPD department had constituted checking squads but one does not know whether they are in action or hibernation.
It is agreed that during Navratras there is more demand for Veggies and rates may increase. Little increase in bearable, but increase should be allowed only if the CAPD notifies it. If vendors indulge in profiteering and work on whims and caprices what is fun of having a department like CAPD.
The CAPD should launch a drive to contain the vendors from indulging in such a practice.
Yours etc….
