Veeri visits Ziarat of Panj Peer, Baba Ibrahim

JAMMU, Apr 24: Minister for Horticulture, Haj & Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri today visited the Ziarat of Panj Peer (RA) at Tawi Bridge and took stock of the developmental works and other facilities for the devotees.
Commissioner Secretary, Revenue and Hajj Auqaf, Mohammad Afzal Bhat accompanied the Minister during his visit.
On the occasion, the Minister was apprised about the facilities being put in place for the devotees and new infrastructural facilities being developed by the department.
The Minister directed the concerned authority to submit a DPR so that funds could be provide for improvement of facilities at the shrine at the earliest.
The Minister announced Rs 1 lakh for beautification work of the ziarat and directed the concerned authority to start beautification work immediately.
Later, the Minister also visited the Shrine of Baba Ibrahim (RA), near Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and took stock of the facilities there. Expressing dissatisfaction over the arrangements at the Ziarat, the Minister directed the management to take up the renovation and beautification.
The Minister paid obeisance at the Ziarat and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.
Administrator Auqaf Islamia, Jammu, Wasim Raja Khan, Special Officer, Auqaf, J&K/Chief Executive Councillor, Abdul Sattar and other senior officers of Haj & Auqaf Department also accompanied the Minister.
