VCs of State Farm Universities meet Governor

SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Dr. Tej Partap, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology -Kashmir, and Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu, called on Governor, N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the Universities, here at the Raj Bhavan.
Dr. Partap and Dr. Sharma briefed the Governor about the to-date status of admissions to the various under-graduate and post-graduate courses offered by their Universities. They also spoke about the pressing academic and administrative issues relating to their institutions and the difficulties arising from the inadequacy of financial resources.
The Governor spoke to the Vice Chancellors about the initiatives taken by them to boost research and extension activities and the outcomes achieved in improving the production and productivity levels. He urged them to ensure the efficient functioning of all the KVKs in the three regions of the State.
Meanwhile, an Ahmadia Jamaat leader Mohammad Yousuf Anwar, called on Mr Vohra.
Mr. Anwar presented to the Governor copy of “World Crisis and Pathway to Peace” and an English version of the Holy Quran. He apprised the Governor about his views on the maintenance of world peace and universal brotherhood.
