SRINAGAR, May 13: Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, called on Governor N.N Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here at Raj Bhavan today.
The Vice Chancellor briefed the Governor about the to date status of all important academic, research, co-curricular and infrastructural development activities in the University and, as desired by the Chancellor, gave him a list of all significant matters which would require to be decided in the coming weeks.
Dr. Aziz Hajini, President, Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) also called on Mr. Vohra and briefed him about pursuits of AMK in collection and publication of literary heritage of literary legends of Kashmir and about its efforts for promoting and preserving the Kashmiri language and culture.
The Governor appreciated the role of the AMK in highlighting the rich culture, traditions and literature of Kashmir and wished Dr. Hajini high success in all the future endeavors of the Kamraz.
Prof. Ravi Jyee, Vice President, International University, School of Medicine, Michigan and Head “SAARC” Medical Education, Research and Training Programme in a meeting with in Vohra informed him that he along with Dr. Dewa Ramlu, Vice President, International University, School Of Medicine, Michigan, USA would like to assist the Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board and train doctors in clinical cardiology, particularly all those who would be doing duty during the Yatra.
