SRINAGAR, Nov 13:  22nd J&K UT level Sqay competition for all age groups boys and girls, organised by J&K Sqay Association, concluded at Indoor Complex Polo Ground Rajbagh, here today.
More than 1500 boys and girls participated in the event and displayed a great zeal in this traditional Martial Arts of Kashmir.
Swamy Dharambandhu was the chief of the event who praised the Kashmiri Martial Art on the occasion. He assured the players that the sport will be made compulsory in the whole country. The matter regarding this Martial Art will be taken personally by him with the Prime Minister of India as this indigenous Martial Art is the pride of the country.
District Srinagar lifted the overall championship, while Shopian & Pulwama districts remained 2nd and 3rd in overall medal tally. The selected players of the championship will represent the J&K UT in upcoming 22nd Sqay National Championship which is scheduled to be held at Goa.
The organiser praised the J&K Sports Council for providing the allied facilities for the fair and smooth conduct of the championship.
