UPSSS holds function to elect new senate

JAMMU, Sept 28: Unique Public Senior Secondary School (UPSSS) Gadi Garh Jammu organised a function to inculcate a sense of responsibilities and commitment among the students with their leaders, here today.
The ceremony started with the lighting of lamp and march past by the students of four houses Shastri, Bhagat, Tagore and Ambedkar.
Navgun Singh of class 11th and Divjot Kour of class 12th led the student council as the chosen head boy and head girl and Vineet of Class 11th and Sneha Sharma of Class 12th elected as head boy and vice head girl. In their oath, they pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution.
Harsh of class 12th was appointed as the sports captain, Sushant of Class 12th was appointed as the cultural head, Mandeep Kour of class 12th was appointed as the disciplinary head, Phenderdeep of class 11th as the student welfare committee head, Prableen of Class 12th as the celebration committee head.
Bindiya was appointed as the Shastri House captain, Jasleen as the Bhagat House captain, Avneet as the Tagore House captain and Gursheen was appointed as the Ambedkar House Captain.
Chairman Jasbir Singh in his address said that the student council body of the School represents the value of responsibility, integrity and leadership. They are a rare combination of valour, humility and competence.
