JAMMU, Aug 26: Reacting to the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has said that revised provisions would provide job security for Government employees and their families.
Addressing a press conference here today NMC president, Subash Shastri said around 23 lakh Government employees would benefit from this scheme.
He said that PM Modi has taken a historical decision and gave relief to NPS holder.
“Those who have retired and are getting low pension due to NPS, their cases will also be reviewed now and they will also get benefits,” Shastri maintained adding that family pension will now be 60 per cent plus DA.
He hoped that NDA Government at the centre would also take a decision regarding setting up of 8th Pay Commission, releasing of 18 months DA arrears and merging of 50 per cent DA with basic pay pension.
