Christmas Gold Cup Football Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 8: Udhampur Football Club (FC) and Sports & Cultural FC registered win in their respective matches of Christman Gold Cup Football Tournament, held today at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu.
Narinder Gupta (former Member, J&K Sports Council) was chief guest at the event while David Masih, Yousaf Don, Peter Sandhu, Clint Mattoo, Sodagar Mattoo, Sebastian, Romesh Chander (International Player) and Ashok Sharma also graced the event.
First match of the Tournament was held today between Udhampur FC and Morning Star FC in which Udhampur FC won by 6-0. The first goal was scored by Aniket in 13th minute, 2nd goal by Amit in 21st minute, 3rd goal scored by Parth in 41st minute, 4th by Jatinder in 46th minute while 5th and 6th goals were scored by Lakshya in 56th & 57th minute, respectively.
Second match of the tournament was played between Sports & Cultural FC and Younger Hero’s FC. The match was won by Sports & Cultural FC by 3-0. First and 3rd goals were scored by Varinder Singh in 1st and 28th minute while 2nd goal was scored by Jayant Jamwal in 20th minute.
Aman Sudan, Madhav Sharma, Abhishek Chandan, Satnam Singh and Aman were referees for the two matches.
Tomorrow, DFA Poonch will lock horns with DFA Udhampur at 2 pm. The Tournament is being organized by All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association, under the aegis of J&K Football Association (DFA, Jammu).
