JAMMU, Oct 17: District Udhampur won the Boys Under-19 Volleyball Tournament by beating district Poonch by 3-1 sets with scores 25-14, 25-21, 21-25 and 25-13, at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
For Udhampur, Robin, Joy and Mrinal played excellent game and scored maximum points for their team whereas for Poonch, Inzmam and Farhat scored maximum points.
Minister for PHE and Irrigation, Sham Lal Sharma, was the chief guest on this occasion. SDM Akhnoor, Suresh Kumar, Raman Gupta and principals of both Boys and Girls Higher Secondary Schools were also present.
The tournament was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronship of Navin Aggarwal, Director General, Youth services and Sports.
The match was officiated by Mulkh Raj Sharma, Tarsem Lal, Ram Paul and Bua Ditta.
