UDHAMPUR, May 23: Two inter-district drug peddlers were arrested from Manwal area here today, officials said.
While conducting routine checking at Battal Naka, a Swift car (JK01BD-0911) was intercepted for checking, they said.
On search, 51.50 grams of heroin was recovered from the vehicle, officials said.
Accordingly, they said that two people travelling in the vehicle, identified as Raiyan Mukhtar (driver) of Budshah Nagar, Srinagar, and his co-passenger, Ubaid Lone of Hanjidanter, Anantnag, were arrested and booked in case FIR number 75/2026 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation taken up.
