JAMMU, June 3: Two housewives allegedly tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per police sources, 26-year-old Jyoti Devi, wife of Rahul of Chak Pargwal allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Family members rushed her to Pargwal Hospital, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Anita Devi, wife of Bachan Lal of Pallanwala made an abortive attempt to end her life by consuming some poisonous stuff at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members shifted her to Pallanwala Hospital and was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be out danger, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme steps.
