Two found dead at Bus Stand, Railway track

JAMMU, Jan 17: A man was found dead today in a bus here at General Bus Stand while the dead body of another man was found today on railway track at Km 86.56 in Bari-Brahmana area of Samba.
According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Mohd Khaliq (45-50) son of Mohd Yousuf, a resident of Gluti, Manjakote in Rajouri district, a bus driver by profession, was found dead this morning in a bus bearing registration number JK02Q-7695.
On getting information a police team from police station Bus Stand led by SHO Paramjeet Singh, reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Later, after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
“According to the initial investigations, it was found that the man was a habitual drunkard and perhaps died due to over drinking. However, the exact reasons of his death will be surfaced only in the post mortem report”, the spokesperson said adding a case in this connection has been registered at police station Bus Stand and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, at Km 86.56 in Bari-Brahmana area of Samba district, the dead body of an unidentified male of age about 21 years was found on railway track, this morning. The passersby informed the police, who reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of GMCH for identification post mortem.
Later, on the basis of an Aadhaar card found from the pocket of the deceased, he was identified as Jatinder Kumar (21) son of Suresh Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
