JAMMU, July 10: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 7 grams of heroin from Akhnoor area here today, police said.
They said a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq and PSI Manoj Kumar while on naka duty at Pakhiyaan near Galaxy Palace Akhnoor, rounded up two suspects.
They were later identified as Vikram Singh alias Kaka of Lehar, Sungal, and Ansh Langeh alias Ansh of Shama Chak, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
During search of the suspect, 8 grams of heroin was recovered, police said.
The accused have been booked in case FIR number 193/2023 under sections 8/21/22/29/60 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up, said police.
