Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, intoxicant capsules

JAMMU, Nov 12: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin and intoxicant capsules from their possession.
As per police sources, a team from Domana Police Station led by PSI Kulvinder Singh signaled a bullet motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CK-0809 to stop for checking.
On seeing police team, the rider accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape. However, the police team overpowered the 2 pillion riders, while the rider managed to escape from the spot.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams heroin and 325 grams weighing intoxicant capsules from the possession of pillion riders and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Nasir Alam alias Nissa, son of Abdul Aziz of Upper Thather and Tarunesh Sharma, son of Mohinder Sharma of Sarwal District Jammu.
During questioning, the arrested persons disclosed the name of the rider as Garu Singh, son of Janak Singh of Sukhi Nehar Bantalab District Jammu. They further disclosed that they along with Garu Singh by collecting money jointly do the business of purchase and sale of illicit drugs and psychotropic substances for earning money illegally.
A case under FIR Number 318/2020 under Section 8/21/22/25/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and hunt has been launched to nab Garu Singh.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
