UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: In two separate incidents, a teenaged boy committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near his house at Jib in Udhampur while a .17-year old girl also ended her life by consuming poison.
According to the reports, Rohit Kumar (18), son of Dwarka Nath of village Jib in Udhampur, was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances. Locals spotted him hanging and immediately informed the Police, which shifted the body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while police has registered a case in this connection at Rehambal Police Station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 17-year old ended her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in village Rman Ramnagar, this evening.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Devi, daughter of Kartar Chand of village Rman. She consumed some poisonous substance at her residence and fell unconscious. The family members shifted her to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where she breathed her last despite hectic efforts by the doctors to save her life.
