JAMMU, Feb 27: Team of Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha J&K Zone and Kotli Mahajan Biradari paid floral tribute to Lala Hansraj Mahajan under the patronage of Rakesh Kumar Mahajan and Suman Kumar Gupta.
Before offering floral petals, the programme started with the three time chanting of holy Gayatri Mantra.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal President, Mahesh Gupta gave a brief account of the outstanding achievements and historical deeds of Lala Hansraj Mahajan who was totally committed to the cause of Duggar community and to the nation.
He expressed his resentment with the previous Governments of Jammu and Kashmir which were reluctant to recognize the towering personality of Lala Hansraj Mahajan and failed to give due honour.
He appealed to the Present government to recognize the distinguished deeds of Lala Hansraj Mahajan in an appropriate manner.
In the end, the vote of thanks was delivered by Ram Langar.
The other office bearers who were present on the occasion were Rajesh Gupta Senior Vice President, Ranjan Gupta, Vice President and Krishan Gupta, President Youth Wing.
Meanwhile, an impressive programme organised by Kotli Mahajan Biradari to pay rich tribute to late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan under the chairmanship of Kamal Gupta, president Kotli Mahajan Sabha.
Hans Raj, a prominent social activist and founder of Jammu and Kashmir Mahajan Sabha and Dogra Sardar Sabha was a towering personality of Jammu and Kashmir, who fought against social evils, worked for woman upliftment and raised voice against casteism.
Corporator Arun Khanna paid tribute to Hans Raj Mahajan. All members observed two minutes silence and paid tribute.
Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta, Satish Jandyal, Rohit Gupta, Viod Kumar, Pradyal Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Arun Arya, Ravinder Kumar, Dharamvir, Sudesh Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Sudesh Gupta, Ashok Kumar, R C Gupta and Vijay Mahajan were present on the occasion.
