NEW DELHI, May 15: Glowing tributes were paid simultaneously in Srinagar, Jammu and New Delhi today in the memory of Badri Bazaz first women freedom fighter of early thirties and founder chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) on the occasion of Thirty-Second Death Anniversary.
In New Delhi at a big congregation here today people from all walks of life paid floral tributes to the memory of Mrs Bazaz and recalled her selfless service and relentless struggle against the social and political evils of the society. They described her as a true daughter of Kashmir who fought for eradication of illiteracy amongst the womenfolk of the Valley and upheld the value of secularism.
Speaking on the occasion Bhusan Bazaz, president of the forum has described her epitome of courage and compassionate mother “It was Badri Bazaz who always supported her husband Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz in Kashmir freedom struggle and spear-headed his mission when he was in Jail.
