Traffic congestion is becoming a huge problem for our Jammu city. One of the main reasons which causes the traffic jam is that the majority of people prefer using their own cars instead of public transportation. Traffic congestion has many effects. One of the most important is parking problem. People find it difficult to park their cars especially in the city center. As the problem is assuring wider ramifications day by day, it is better to contain them before they may spin out of control. Public transportation is the easiest way to solve this trouble. If there is comfortable and cheap public transport such as trains and buses people would prefer them driving.
Another solution is to charge parking fee for every car that will go into a city centre. It will either discourage people from driving into that area, or raise more money for public transportation. The administration should not allow any vehicle to stop on roadside. In case that happens, it should be lifted immediately.
The Matadors should not be allowed to stop without the stops made for the passengers, If any driver is found violating the order or rule, his driving license should be cancelled.
It is the duty of the Administration to aware people about the traffic rules, and enforce the rules and regulations strictly.
