SHIMLA : Death toll in road accident in Chamba district yesterday, involving a private bus, has mounted to 14, reports said. As many as 24 people were injured when an overloaded private bus carrying them rolled down into a 80-Mt gorge near the Chauhara dam, some 460 km from this capital town.
The ill-fated bus was on its way from Sanghni to Dalhousie and most of the passengers were local.
The deceased include two residents of Punjab’s Sangrur town. Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed grief over the accident. (AGENCIES)
