RAMBAN, July 8: Following action by Ramban Police, a local court here today convicted three persons for creating public nuisance under the influence of alcohol.
According to Police, the incident occurred on June 19, 2026, when the patrolling cops from Police Post Neel, led by PSI Mohd Yousuf Lone, found three intoxicated men allegedly creating disturbance at Batoo Neel Market.
The accused were identified as Irfan Ahmed Sheikh, Shafeeq Ahmed Sheikh and Irshad Ahmed Sheikh, all residents of Tatka Neel in Tehsil Ramsoo, District Ramban.
The trio was taken for medical examination at PHC Ukhral, where their intoxicated condition was confirmed. After completion of the investigation and other legal formalities, separate complaints were filed before the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ukhral.
On July 7, 2026, the Court convicted all the three accused and sentenced each of them to two days of mandatory community service at Ukhral Court Complex.
