RAMBAN, Apr 23: Banihal Police arrested a thief along with stolen property.
As per police sources, on April 21 this year, a written complaint was received from a person namely Mohammad Sadeeq, son of Ghulam Hasan of Karwa at Police Station Banihal regarding the theft of items including loudspeaker, mike, mike stand and battery from mosques located at different locations during the intervening night of 20th and 21st April 2022 by some unknown persons.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 90/2022 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Banihal led by SHO Inspector Nayeem-ul-Haq under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Nisar Ahmed Khoja and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma did hectic efforts and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohammad Yousaf Guth, son of Abdul Rehman Guth, a resident of Tanka, Tehsil Banihal District Jammu.
On his disclosures, the stolen items including two loudspeaker, two mikes, one mike stand and 1 battery have been recovered and seized.
Further questioning of the arrested accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
