JAMMU, July 16: Bishnah Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen item from his possession.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bishnah by a person namely Munish Bhagat, son of Babu Ram of village Chak Lala Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu stating that some unknown persons have stolen his shuttering plates.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 115/2021 under Section 379 1PC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
The team connected various leads and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Harnam Dass of Village Sehora, Gangyal District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen 14 iron shuttering plates were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
