Srinagar : Terrorists have attacked the Border Security Forces 182 battalion camp near Srinagar airport early on Tuesday morning.
“By 0430 this morning, few terrorists tried to barge into the campus of BSF battalion. It was retaliated and terrorists are holed up in a building inside the campus,” sources said.
Sources say that the security forces are engaged in a gunfight with the terrorists.
The terrorists targeted the administrative block of BSF’s 182nd battalion, located just outside the main gate of the airport, a police official said.
Besides the civilian airport, the technical airport used by Armed Forces and VIPs is also in the vicinity. The area also houses training centres of the BSF and CRPF. (Agencies)
