Water supply to villages restored

AKHNOOR, Dec 22: A public grievance camp to provide various revenue services on spot and for redressal of various public grievances was organized in Panchayat Gharatal of Tehsil Maira Mandrian today. The programme was presided over by Tehsildar Maira Mandrian Mamta Sudershan. Young Volunteers of the Panchayat were also present during the camp.
Various revenue services including RBA, OBC, Income, EWS Certificate etc were provided to the people on the spot by the officials present under one roof in the camp. As per the details available, 7 RBA certificates, one OBC Certificate, five Income Certificates and one EWS Certificate were provided to the beneficiaries. Meanwhile while listening to the various public grievances people of Nore and Jakh apprised the Tehsildar that the people residing in the area are without drinking water from the last many days. Mamta Sudershan while sensing the seriousness of the public grievance swiftly reached Nore and Jakh to assess the on ground situation and reported the matter to the SDM Akhnoor and Chowki Choura for its redressal. She also raised the matter with officials of the concerned department to get the grievance of people addressed at earliest.
Ajeet Kumar, Sarpanch Panchayat Gharatal and Panches were also present in the camp who appreciated this initiative of the Government.
