Technical training to be given impetus: ADGP

JAMMU, Nov 21: With the increasing use of technology by the Government as also by the criminals it has become imperative for police officers to update the technology skills.
This was stated by Additional Director General of Police (Trainings), Navin Agarwal while chairing the officers meeting held at Police Headquarters (PHQ here today.
He stressed for time bound implementation and introduction of modern technical courses at Police Technical Training Institute Vijaypur (PTTI). He said so far these courses were being held at Delhi due to which only a few officers from the Organization could be nominated for these courses.
During the meeting, various issues like revision of technical syllabus, equipping the police by modern technical gadgets and equipments, upgrading technical staff and updating the institute library with latest material and technology came up under discussion.
The meeting also decided that short duration refresher courses will be organized to update the knowledge of those who had been recruited and trained earlier.
Among others the meeting was  attended by DPT, Hilal Ahmed, Principal (PTTI, Vijaypur, Ranjit Kanwar, SP Trainings (PHQ), B. A. Shah, Vice Principal PTTI, Satesh Kumar and Dy. SP Telecom, Tasaduq Ahmed Khan.
