JAMMU, July 5: Government today constituted Group of Senior Engineers for inspection of Patnitop Ropeway Project with the direction to complete the task by July 15.
EXCELSIOR on June 30, 2019 had exclusively highlighted that Government was dilly-dallying on inspection of Patnitop Ropeway despite being aware of the fact that project has already been commissioned and non-commercial operations were going on smoothly.
Today, Government constituted Group of Senior Engineers in compliance to Sections 10 and 11 of the Jammu and Kashmir Aerial Ropeway Act, 2002 for inspection of Patnitop Ropeway Project.
The Group comprising of Chief Engineer Mechanical Engineering Department Jammu, Chief Engineer M&RE Jammu, Superintending Engineer (Civil) Jammu and Noor Ul Hassan Dar, Deputy Manager Project and Coordination Jammu and Kashmir State Cable Car Corporation has been asked to complete the task by July 15, 2019.
Soon after the completion of task by the Group of Senior Engineers, the Governor Satya Pal Malik will inaugurate the project to pave the way for start of commercial operations.
