Teachers protest against non-release of salaries

SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Hundreds of Government teachers today staged protest demanding release of salaries.
They said salaries had been withheld from past eight months to the ReTs, teachers and Masters working under SSA and RMSA schemes.
The protestors led by Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) president Abdul Qayoom Wani assembled at Directorate School of Education office and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
They marched from Directorate office to Press Enclave while raising slogans. Later, the protestors dispersed off peacefully.
Wani threatened that teachers will hold protests at district level if the salaries are not released by May 12.
