JAMMU, Apr 26: Over hundred students (B. Tech batch 2014-2018) of Tawi Engineering College at Shahpurkandi, Pathankot were awarded degrees by the chief guest, Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Jamwal Group of Colleges during Convocation.
Managing Director of the Group, Renu Bangroo; Prof B.R Moza, Special Secretary to Chairman, Dr. Dinesh Badhan, Director Tawi Engg College; Dr. Deepak Sharma, Principal Tawi College and Col Hari Singh, Administrative Officer were also present on the occasion.
The Convocation started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries and recitation of ‘Vande Mataram’ by the students.
Director of Tawi Engg College, Dr. Dinesh Badhan introduced the chief guest and guests of honor and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
The Director briefed about the achievements of the College last year and highlighted the efforts of management in the field of technical education.
The chief guest addressed the students and encouraged them for overall development besides the technical skills.
He emphasized upon the need of value based education in the present context and also advised the student especially the passing out ones to value good moral practices at their work place.
