“It was the clarion calls of late Prem Nath Dogra that masses from all over the State and other parts of the country joined the agitation under the banner of Praja Parishad. This historic agitation was led by late Prem Nath Dogra,” Sharma said.
He said more than 13 members of Praja Parishad were shot dead by the police on the stance of the then Prime Minister of J&K Sheikh Abdullah and later on, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerji also joined the movement but he died under mysterious circumstances in an ordinary hospital in Srinagar.
