SVC takes serious note of non-compliance of directive by DC

JAMMU, June 5: State Vigilance Commission has taken serious note of non-compliance of directive by the Deputy Commissioner Ramban.
The Commission in a complaint titled Abdul Kabir Wani of Ramban Versus Block Development Officer, Ramsoo, had issued directions for enquiry into the matter and submission of detailed report by or before April 22, 2014.
However, no report was received by the Commission following which a reminder was sent to the Deputy Commissioner Ramban to submit the report by June 4, 2014.
Today, when the case was listed before the Commission neither the report was filed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner nor any of his representatives was present on his behalf.
Taking serious note of the non-compliance, the Commission has directed the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban to submit the report through Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban by or before July 22, 2014 failing which appropriate proceedings will be initiated against him under the provisions of the J&K State Vigilance Commission Act.
