JAMMU, Dec 25: Army today apprehended a suspect when he was travelling in a TATA Sumo from Surankote to Mendhar, along with pistol and ammunition.
The youth, who has been identified as Mohammad Parvez Musharraf, 20, son of Abdul Qasoor, a resident of Surankote, was a BA Part-I student of Surankote degree college and seems to be radicalized, sources said.
The suspect was on way from Surankote to Mendhar to meet his cousin Mohammad Nasarullah when he was nabbed by the Army during frisking of passengers from TATA Sumo No. 4517 JK12 in Harni area.
From his possession, Army recovered one pistol, seven rounds, one magazine, one knife, two mobile telephones and one SIM card.
Sources said Musharraf seems to have been radicalized.
When contacted, SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey said everything is matter of investigations.
