NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement on her recent talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad and related issues, in Parliament on Monday.
This was announced by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy in the Lok Sabha in response to the issue raised by AITC Member Saugata Roy.
Mr Rudy said “Sushma Ji would make the statement in the Rajya Sabha at 1100 hrs and in the Lok Sabha at 1400 hours on Monday”.
Prof Roy who wanted to raise the issue through a notice for adjournment motion, said this would be too late,..Parliament is being ignored”.
Mr Rudy however, pacified him saying “The Minister has assured that she would deliver the statement on Monday”. (UNI)
