Suman’s work to be acquired by European Museum

JAMMU, Sept 14: European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, Spain shall be acquiring the latest art work of Suman Gupta, internationally acclaimed senior artist belonging to J&K State, for their permanent collection.
Suman Gupta’s art work titled “Song of the river” painted in most ancient technique of egg tempera on masonite was selected in the world best competition of Figurative art” Figurativas 2019 “one of the most prestigious art competition of Europe and America at “European Museum of Modern Art” (MEAM), situated in an old 18th-century palace in the Born district in Barcelona.
The international Jury including some of the most revered names of the living masters, mostly painters, like Antonio Lopez Garcia, Odd Nerdrum, Jacob Collins, Alex Kanevsky and Eduardo Naranjo which met and selected only 57 finalist out of some 2000 entries received worldwide.
Suman Gupta is the only artist from India whose work have been selected for the said event and now the museum has finally decided to acquire the work for their permanent collection after the final exhibition which is going to be held in December.
