Sukhnandan listens problems of BDC Chairmen, Sarpanchs, Panchs

JAMMU, July 19: Chairman Panchayati Raj J&K UT and former Minister Choudhary Sukhnandan interacted with BDC Chairmen, Sarpanchs and Panchs in Sohal, Panchayat Kaink Jagir (tehsil Akhnoor) and listened to their problems.
Various Sarpanchs, Panchs expressed their views and highlighted several problems of their areas including MGNREGA payment issue, shortage of electricity in their areas, department tendering issues, poor conditions of roads and safe drinking water issue.
Addressing the gathering of BDC Chairmen, Sarpanchs and Panchs, Sukhnandan highlighted the achievements of Modi Government. He assured the Sarpanchs and Panchs that the matter of payment of MGNREGA will be addressed soon as the matter is already taken up with concerned authorities.
He appealed the people to take benefits of different schemes started by Modi Government during last six years and stated that he is always ready to work and fight for public issues. He also created awareness regarding social distancing norms and wearing masks at the time of COVID-19.
Former MLA, Rajeev Sharma said that the Central Government has started various schemes for the welfare of people and Sarpanchs, Panchs should work actively to bring these schemes to the people. He further added that Modi Government is playing effective role in addressing the common issues of people.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Sobha Ram (district general secretary), Sham Singh (block president Akhnoor), Manga Ram (block president Jourian), BD Sharma (block president Chowki Choura), Gurupal (Minority Morcha district president), Sarpanchs–Vijay Kumar, Kishori Lal, Kashmir Singh, Prabhu Dayal, Harbans Lal, Babu Ram, Om Parkash, Rattan Lal and Kali Dass.
