PULWAMA, Dec 20: Minister for PHE & Irrigation, Suknandan Kumar Chowdary, inaugurated water supply schemes Mandina and Sanzwatroo Pulwama in presence of MoS, Abdul Majeed Padder, and MLA Pulwama Mohd Khalil Band.
The Minister was accompanied by Chief Engineer PHE, ADC, Pulwama and other officers of district administration besides large number of locals and panchayat representatives.
The water supply schemes at Mandina Sanzwatroo, established with a cost of Rs. 2.55 lakh, will cover 4813 souls of 3 villages Sanzwatroo, Mandina and Talangam Pulwama.
Later, the Minister laid foundation stone of augmentation of water supply scheme Pulwama which will cost Rs. 3 crore and cover nearly 11000 souls of Pulwama town including district hospital, degree college and thirteen urban wards.
The Minister stressed upon the Chief Engineer and Executive Engineer PHE, for timely completion of taken up projects so that public may not suffer for the basic amenities.
Later, the Minister visited Kangan Shangerpora, Pulwama to assess the functioning of water supply project Shangerpora.
