UDHAMPUR, July 26: The students of Government Higher Secondary School Battal Balian and local villagers held protest against shortage of staff, non-availability of desks and non- repairing of boundary and lack of Lab facility.
The protest was launched under the supervision of Sunita Rathore Sarpanch Battal, Manmohan Raina Sarpanch Balian and Parshotam Sharma Sarpanch Bredian.
They alleged that Government Higher Secondary School Battal Balian was running with only two lecturers and without Principal. No staff or Principal was provided there in this newly upgraded school. They said the students were facing many problems. They were worried about their future. There was no proper sitting arrangement. Boundary wall has been broken. In class 11th there were 55 students but 22 student moved to the other schools due to shortage of staff.
This school was established in 1923 and upgrade last year as
Higher Secondary School. At least 10 lecturers are needed to be posted here. There is no Chemistry, Biology, Economies, History, English lecturers.
Sarpanchs appealed to the Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik to look into the matter and save future of these students.
