JAMMU, Apr 8: An 11 years old school student was killed in a mysterious fire when he was returning from his educational institution at village Beoli, about seven kilometers from Doda this afternoon.
SSP Doda Arif Reshu said 11 years old Tauseef Ahmad son of Abdullah, a resident of village Beoli was hit by a bullet of 12 bore gun on his head at 2 pm today under mysterious circumstances leading to his on spot death.
He was shifted to District Hospital Doda by the family members and police, where he was declared as brought dead.
Police said they have seized all 12 bore guns in the area. The gun holders were being quizzed to identify the accused.
They said it couldn’t be ascertained immediately as to whether it was an accidental or deliberate gun fire.
However, police have ruled out the militancy angle in the death. Body of the youth has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
