JAMMU, Nov 29: Former minister and PCC vice president Mula Ram has alleged that BJP Government had promised of ‘Acchey Din’ with people of the country but till date they had done nothing in this regard as people are facing many hardships.
While addressing a gathering in support of Party’s candidate Rajinder Kumar in Marh block today, the former minister alleged that they (BJP) gathered votes during the election on fake promises and later turned nelson’s eye towards the miseries of the people. He said BJP who ruled Centre for more than six years and Jammu and Kashmir for three years has been exposed for its false promises.
Mula Ram asserted that if BJP worked for the welfare of Jammu people, now they have not to visit door-to-door seeking support of people. He said that BJP did nothing during its six years of rule, except hollow promises. He expressed the hope and confidence that this time people of constituency will not repeat the mistake of 2014 after suffering a lot giving mandate to BJP.
The PCC leader said that people have understood the nefarious designs of BJP and requested the people to raise the questions to BJP leadership when they come for votes that though after giving them huge mandate from Jammu region then also why they were neglected on all fronts.
The senior Congress leader said that Congress had vociferously projected the concerns of Jammu region and fought for safeguarding its interest at all possible forums to the entire satisfaction of its people. It was time to support and strengthen the party for the ultimate empowerment of the people of the Dogra land, he said.
Describing Congress as the only unifying force in the country and in J&K UT, Mula Ram said that this party represents aspirations of the people and has always worked as a bridge between the communities. He assured the people that Congress won’t allow any force or factor to betray or exploit people and would give a befitting reply to them. He urged people to support and vote in favour of Rajinder Kumar so that they long pending issues would be resolved.
