JAMMU, Mar 9: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest demonstration with empty utensils led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement, against the Union CAPD Ministry for giving wheat  in place of atta to the ration card holders, today.
Addressing the protesters , Dimple impressed upon the Governor N N Vohra that the NFSA has put the people of the State in great trouble and no atta is being given and instead Government has started giving wheat.
He criticized Union Food Ministry and said that Modi Government has snatched food from the mouths of the people of the country.
He alleged that the Government has also stopped the sugar supply on the Government ration depots. He said the people are without ration on depots for the last three months.
Dimple demanded Governor N N Vohra to keep the implementation of NFSA  in abeyance, till the formation of the new Government as there are lot of irregularities and short comings in the Act.
He demanded 10 kg atta per member to be given to each family, as 5 kg per member  is not sufficient and all the ration card holders BPL, APL families should get the benefit of the Food Security Bill.
Dimple demanded for the inclusion edible oil, sugar, salt, dalls, vegetables, LPG and kerosene oil in the NFSA from the State Government side.
He alleged that the Budget presented by the Union Finance Minister was anti poor people and has nothing to do with controlling the rising prices.
