Stop harassment on NH-44: Farooq

SRINAGAR, June 23: Former Chief Minister and president of the National Conference (NC), Dr Farooq Abdullah, today demanded end to harassment of people on the National Highway in Kashmir. Click here to watch video
Speaking to reporters at Pahalgam, Abdullah said that it should be immediately stopped. “The stopping of people on the highway and their harassment has to be stopped immediately”, he said.
Abdullah said that he saw people being stopped on the highway. “I have seen that on National Highway people are being stopped at several places which is not good. Nobody is being stopped on National Highway in the country and people are being allowed to travel freely”, he said.
He asked the security forces to desist from stopping people on NH-44 in Kashmir. “They should desist from it and allow people to move freely on the Highway”, he said.
