Sterling performance

Sir,
Refer news item ‘Girls outclass boys in Class-XII’ DE May 11, 2019.
The girl students deserve all appreciation for their sterling performance in BOSE examination.
They have shown by their performance that, if given a chance, they do not lag behind boys. The top positions grabbed by them reveals their preserverence, dedication and hard work. This also underlines the fact that those who work hard, and have a fixed goal usually achieve their destination.
However, it may said here that girl students in rural areas do not receive much attention yet as far as their schooling is concerned.
They are still involved in domestic chores, rearing cattle and agriculture activities. The Government must pay much attention to their education by way of providing more scholarships and facilities. There are certain places where people do not send their daughters for higher education as they do not have schools, particularly higher secondary schools in nearby locations.
There is need to provide them schools which are located near to their homes.
