Steep decline in terrorism after abrogation of Art 370: Kavinder

NASIK, July 19: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that drastic reduction in terrorism, investment opportunities for the big investors, end of clout of leaders who used to consider the erstwhile State as their personal property, economic and social development, and many more changes have occurred in J&K and Ladakh in the last nearly three years after annulling of Article 370.
Kavinder who is on the tour of Maharashtra said this while addressing a press conference at the BJP Headquarters in Nasik.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that the role played by BJP in bringing J&K back on tracks is phenomenal because no other Government could have done this to free the State from the clutches of Nehruvian blunders. Nevertheless, the works accomplished by the Modi Government and the LG, Manoj Sinha’s administration are exceptional and unlike what the opposition is accusing, so much work has been done on ground.
“Corruption has been contained like never before as every second day there is a case of corrupt facing the law and going to jails. This is the magic of Modi because no one in the past taken such revolutionary steps”, he said, adding that the propaganda unleashed by the opposition that Modi Government failed to perform will also be countered by the works of the PM Modi.
“The fact that G-20 summit is supposed to take place in J&K is a special bonanza for the people of J&K as the local issues will get worldwide publicity and Union Territory will also get a chance to showcase its worth including the investment opportunities it has in offing and of course its splendid beauty”, he said, adding that AIIMS, IIT, IIM and big rail and surface transport projects are also made possible by the Centre.
Kavinder asserted that the BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has established new paradigms for progress in Jammu and Kashmir by providing vistas of opportunities to people belonging to all shades of life and setting up world class infrastructure to augment facilities to the common man.
