JAMMU, Nov 29: Former MP and chairman Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) Ch Lal Singh today said that the ultimate aim of his party is to get the separate State of Jammu which is the only solution to the problems of the people of Jammu.
Addressing a series of public meeting in favour of DSSP candidates at Udhampur, Domana and Vijaypur area, Lal Singh said that DSSP will fight for the statehood to Jammu till its last breath and time has come to show the strength for the separate statehood. He lambasted upon the present regime for totally ignoring the sentiments of Dogra and instead of giving promised statehood, reduced Jammu into a UT.
“Ours was a State that our ancestors created with their blood and sweat but it is unfortunate that today it is dismembered against the wishes and sentiments of Dogras,” he said. Urging all secular forces in Jammu and Kashmir to defeat the designs of anti-peace forces which are vitiating atmosphere of amity and communal harmony, he appealed to people not to allow any force to harm secular fabric of the J&K.
He said that continuous efforts by communal forces to vitiate the atmosphere of amity and harm the age old tradition of brotherhood in the UT are on. Expressing serious concern over the future of people and the UT, Ch Lal Singh accused the Delhi and Kashmir of bringing the UT at the verge of disintegration due to their wrong and anti people policies.
Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, general secretary, vice presidents KD Singh, Advocate BS Jamwal, Prof HR Sharma, Prof Pardeep, Raju Pahalwan, Gurtej Singh, and other senior leaders also addressed the gathering.
